When is the Balloon Regatta?

The Balloon Regatta is always the first weekend in November

What time do balloons launch every day?

Launches happen each morning around 7:30 AM

Where do the balloons launch from?

Most of the balloons launch from Lake Powell National Golf Course, holes 4 & 5, across Lake Powell Blvd from Page Lumber.

What if there is bad weather?

Launches take place as weather permits

Are pilots paid to participate in the event?

Pilots are NOT paid to participate. Pilots pay an entry fee which is reimbursed to them in $2 bills when they show up to fly. Watch for these bills in your place of business!

Are there educational events associated with the Balloon Regatta?

Educational programs are conducted by selected pilots in our schools on Thursday of the event week.

How many balloons/pilots participate each year?

There are 55+ pilots and their balloons each year who participate

Can I take part in the event at all?

If you would like to have a hands-on experience, crew is always needed the mornings of flights to help set up and take down the balloons.
