Regatta Scholarships

Each year, the Page Lake Powell Balloon Regatta gives back to the community by awarding three high school seniors for their outstanding achievements in the school and community, and their involvement with the Regatta. Three high school seniors were awarded scholarships to use for the 2020-2021 school years.

2020/2021 Scholarship Recipients

NISHSHONI GERENA $2,000

DUSTIN YAZZIE $1,500

ARIANNA REDSHIRT $1,000

CRITERIA

  • Applicants must be completing or have completed high school successfully with a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States.
  • Preference will be given to students who attended high school in Page, Arizona

TIMELINE

  • Applications are due February 28 of the award year
  • Applicants are notified if awarded a scholarship by May of the award year.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Scholarship Applicants Must Provide:
  • Completed application form to include past involvement/experience with Balloon Regatta, school extra curricular activities, area of study, community involvement, short and long term goals, career plans.
  • Official proof of academic standing.
  • A letter of academic references from a guidance counselor or teacher.
  • A letter of reference from an employer or other community member.
  • Applicant must provide the correct mailing address of the institution and the department where their scholarship check is to be used.
  • Award amounts will be distributed after all requirements are met.
